On 8-12 September 2025, the NEXT Tutors Training “Digitalisation, Immersive Tools and Student Engagement Global” took place as part of the NEXT project’s ongoing efforts to empower academic staff and promote innovation in higher education.
The training was designed to prepare university teachers and administrative staff to become NEXT digital education coaches — ambassadors of a modern, student-centred learning approach that combines flexibility, inclusion, and advanced digital technologies.
Throughout five intensive days, participants from partner universities in the EU and Ukraine engaged in hands-on sessions, explored immersive learning environments, and experimented with a range of interactive digital tools aimed at increasing student engagement and supporting personalised learning.
The programme combined theoretical insights with practical exercises, fostering collaboration among educators and enabling the exchange of best practices in digital pedagogy. Special attention was given to how digitalisation can enhance inclusivity, accessibility, and international cooperation in higher education.
This training represented an important milestone in the implementation of the NEXT learning model. It laid a strong foundation for the development, testing, and scaling of digital courses and coaching methods across partner institutions — ensuring that the project’s results will have a lasting impact beyond its lifetime.
